Air Purifiers
How can we help? Choose an FAQ from the Air Purifiers category for more information:
The purifier is equipped with replacement indicators that will notify you when it is time to replace the Carbon or HEPA filter, or the UV lamp. Plan on replacing the Carbon every 3-4 months, HEPA every 12-15 months, and UV lamp every 24 months.
Anywhere you want to measure the air quality within the room! For optimal performance, place the SensorPod away from the air purifier on a counter or table. In Auto Mode, the purifier will work to distribute clean air until the SensorPod reads an acceptable level of air quality. Make sure the SensorPod and purifier are in the same room.
Check that the power cord is connected securely to both the wall outlet and the purifier. Check if there is a power outage in the outlet by trying a nearby light or device or by trying a working device in the same outlet. Check that the HEPA filter is fitted properly into filter chamber. Please contact us if you’re still having a problem.
Disconnect the power by unplugging the purifier from the outlet, and then plug the power cord back into the outlet. All button functionality should return.
Auto Mode is only available when the purifier can react to air quality readings from the SensorPod, so check that the SensorPod is plugged-in and that its light is solid. The radio light on the purifier will blink if the purifier is not responding to the SensorPod.
Check that the purifier is in the same room and powered-on. If it is, you’ll need to follow the pairing procedures in the manual.
Leitz TruSens Smart Air Purifier Z-3500
The Leitz TruSens Smart App is available on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
For connecting your Leitz TruSens Smart App, we recommend that your smart device is within 1 meter of the Leitz TruSens Smart Air Purifier.
Simply open the Leitz TruSens Smart App and follow the on-screen prompts. You will be able to select your language and country and will then connect to the purifier via Bluetooth and create a PIN before connecting the purifier to your local wireless network.
Lastly, you'll be asked to name your air purifier.
(Please Note: the Leitz TruSens Smart App is only compatible with the Z-2500H and Z-3500H Smart Air Purifiers from TruSens.)
You'll be asked to name your Smart Air Purifier during setup, but you can change the name at any time. Simply click on the Menu button at the upper-left corner of the home page, and then click on Settings. Select the air purifier under Device Settings and click on Edit Unit to change the name of your purifier. We recommend short and simple names, like your first name or the name of the room where the purifier will live (ex. dining room, kitchen). We also recommend to not include the word ‘Purifier’ within the name.
The Alexa App allows the renaming of the air purifier, but we do not recommend it.
(Please Note: you'll need to be within Bluetooth range of the Smart Air Purifier to edit the Smart Air Purifier’s details.)
On the home page of your Leitz TruSens Smart App, you can click on the AQI display or on the “See Air Details” button under the AQI color/number display. You'll find the details of what is driving the air quality reading in your room, between PM1.0, PM2.5, PM10, and VOCs.
Open the Leitz TruSens App and click on the “Schedule” button and then click on “Edit”. You'll be able to select the time that the air purifier turns on/off, as well as a fan speed and the day(s) of operation. When completed, make sure to click “Save” in the upper-right corner. If you successfully create and save a schedule, you'll see the Schedule icon next the air purifier name on the home screen.
Note: if the OFF time is earlier in the day than the ON time setting, the air purifier will turn off the following day (example: if only weekdays are selected with the ON time set to 8pm and OFF time set to 7am, then the air purifier will still turn off at 7am on Saturday morning)
Open the Leitz TruSens App and click on the Filter button and you'll find the estimated remaining life of your filters and UV bulb. To view the historical AQI information for your purifier, simply open the Leitz TruSens Smart App and click on the History button at the bottom-right corner of the home screen. The graphs illustrate the minimum, maximum, and average AQI for the last 24 hours, last 7 days, last 5 weeks, and last 12 months.
Open the Leitz TruSens Smart App and click on the Outdoor button in the upper-right corner of the home screen. For your local outdoor AQI by geographic location, you'll want to make sure that the Leitz TruSens Smart App has permission to access your phone's location settings. You will also be able to set a Home location, and we would recommend that be the location of your smart purifier. You can also add additional locations, like where you work, the location of family members, or even locations all around the world!
Within the Outdoor AQI menu, click Additional Location. You'll want to search by city or zip code. If you're having trouble finding the specific location, try including the state or country.
Yes, you can! Simply click on the Menu button at the upper-left corner of the home page, and then click on Settings. Click on Add Purifier and you'll enter the setup mode for a new purifier. For connecting an additional smart purifier to your Leitz TruSens Smart App, we recommend that your smart device is within 3 feet (or 1 meter) of your Leitz TruSens Smart Purifier.
On your home screen, simply swipe left or right to navigate between the different Leitz TruSens Smart Air Purifiers connected to your Leitz TruSens Smart App. On the home screen, you'll notice that there are dots above the air purifier’s name that correspond to the number of air purifiers connected to your Leitz TruSens Smart App. You can also click on the Menu button at the upper-left corner of the home page, and then click on Purifiers to see a list of all connected air purifiers and choose a specific unit.
For optimal performance and functionality of your Leitz TruSens Smart App, you'll want to make sure that the Smart Air Purifier is plugged-in to a power source, and that the air purifier is connected to a local wireless network.
You'll want to make sure that the SensorPod™ is operating and that it is paired to your Smart Air Purifier.
First, check that the SensorPod™ is plugged-in and that the light is solid.
Next, check that the Sensor Pod™ is within range of the Smart Air Purifier (up to 15m).
If both are true and the connection is still failing and you are still seeing the error message in your Leitz TruSens Smart App, see the instructions for repairing the SensorPod™ connection in the Owner’s Manual online.
